Distinguished Book Award for book about Argentina Marital Property
3 August 2012 Argentina member of International Academy Board of Directors Wins Prestigious Award
Professor Ursula Basset (who is member of International Academy Board of Directors) was awarded the Accesit Prize of the National Academy of Jurisprudence for her book "Calificación de bienes en la sociedad conyugal" (on Marital Property Tegimes). It is probably the most prestigious prize a book can win in Argentina, and she is reportedly one of the youngest scholars (if not the youngest) to receive that great honour. The editors had selected her book and sent it directly to the Academy. Three Academicians had to decide between several books published in the last two years (2010-2012), and Professor Basset's book was selected. Congratulations to Professor Basset whose honor reflects well on the IASJF.
